A little something was missing and, strangely, I just cannot point out exactly what it was. It's never explained why the original moon princess cursed the valley instead of returning the pearls herself—except to leave room for our heroine to save the day: yes, children, you too can be the chosen one like this young woman. Let the journey of this story take you to The Secret of Moonacre once again. Definitely not a major special effects movie(although those were very cool) but the cinematography as well as the period attire allowed the special effects to be seamless and read as truth to the story. This one skimped --so it rather flopped for me. I must say that this movie was maybe not so good if Dakota didn't give such a strong performance as Maria Merryweather.
